The problems affecting our rivers are complex and interrelated. The solutions therefore need to be bigger and bolder, expanding to include us all. By embedding local partnerships at the heart of these solutions, it’s possible to build a broad base of Nature Based Solutions which will rebuild resilience at a national scale. Government and regulators must up their game, but they cannot solve this alone: we need to see businesses, local authorities, communities and individuals included (The Rivers Trust, 2021).
Does your organisation or employer offer 'Corporate Social Responsibility' days for you as a staff team to give back to the local community?
Why not come and join Tees Rivers Trust on a corporate volunteer day. We have several activities throughout the year from planting native bulbs, mapping invasive species and more! Perfect for team building activities and supporting your local river!
Does your organisation have a pot of money earmarked for charities or environmental work? Or would you just like to make a contribution to the work we do.
